How low will the price of a barrel of Oil go before it rebounds and goes back up?

Is now the time to buy? How high do you think it will go again? Right now it around $34 a barrel.

when some investors will buy a big amount for a higher price , big enough to have some effect than the others will start buying again. after 10% rise they sell and the price will fall done again after a few days, jojo!!!! and again and again, there will be now one way ticket any more for a long time

Nobody knows the answer to that one but most people would agree that if it rebounds it will be relatively slow and not too strong.
The issue now is a lack of demand due to the recession. Since the recession has quite a way to run yet, there is no reason to expect any significant turnaround very soon unless something dramatic happens on the supply side.
As far as OPEC is concerned, they are a waste of time. They have never been able to control the price since even if they can agree on new objectives or quotas everybody cheats because they need the money. So, ignore what they say, too.

What you’re asking is impossible to answer! I cannot predict what the price of oil is going to do, and neither can the best economists. It’s all random.

The more important question you should ask is how long the price of oil will stay low, before it goes up?
If it goes back up substantially within a year. Then now would be a good time to start investing in it. But if it starts going back up only after five years. Then now would be a bad time to start investing in it, even if you manage to guess its bottom price correctly. Which is unlikely.

Can’t give you a specific price.
However, demand is in the crappers because of the global recession. Supply inventories are close to five year highs and OPEC couldn’t control prices if you gave them a flashlight.
The wildcard is that there is an alternate energy push this time around (i.e. wind, electric, etc.) and Obama is more receptive than Bush is to the idea.
Conclusion: $200/bbl isn’t coming tomorrow.

With the help of superman’s xray vision, he can find the oil, then there will be a super-abundance and the oil will go down to little over $2 a barrel.

Oil is going to drop cause OPEC has lower oil share, the US uses 20 million barrels of a oil a day, and the new cut only cuts 125,000 barrels a day while non OPEC nations are increasing production 865,000 a day.
We have been hit hard cause of the fourth quarter, and just ask a CEO like me? No one hires in the fourth quarter because we need to cut are liabilities to get are bonus! Most CEO’s I know are cutting their cooperate investment accounts, and cutting thousands “staff liabilities.”
The answer is compared the rest of the world the US economy is considerably better, the EURO is down 311% or 2/3 of market share in a year, China is down 22% in a year, and the US is only down 1.3% in a year even though the stock market is down 40% GDP is much more important.
Let me do imitations to show the clear truth!
1. When Obama takes office the DOW will go to 100,000, there will be a 5% job surplus, and all my bills will be paid the first week in office.
2. The congress messed up the world, people will have to eat rats, Obama is Jimmy Carter, and Bush was President but had nothing to do with the problem.
3. The price of oil raises the price of goods, it drops 300% in 2 moths, and the prices of goods drop as a result of consumer outrage and this is labeled as deflation?
You see what really caused Americas problems now?
