First off, details:

I’m 14 years old. I would love to go hunting but haven’t yet. I currently go airsofting (like paintball, but military weapons that shoot BBs, along with military uniforms) and love it. The thought of becoming a sniper for the military makes me go crazy with excitement.

What different little and big things can I work on now in order to increase my chances of being chosen for Sniper School? What will make the Commander say “hey, he seems like a good candidate.”

I already work on my accuracy with my Airsoft gun (M4A1 Carbine 1:1 replica model). I may take rifle marksmanship classes throughout the summer.

What else can I do in order to increase my chances of being chosen for Sniper School?
Another question ontop of the original question:

If I fail to achieve Expert on the BCT rifle test, am I able to re-test for Expert later on after BCT, and if I do, will I still have a chance for Sniper School?

I personally believe that Americans should not be given the right to bear arms.

Just because something is stated in the Constitution does not mean it is correct. That provision was brought about in response to British oppression– in case Americans needed to defend themselves, they could use guns. Also, guns were an important factor of frontier life, helping people kill animals for food. However guns are absolutely unnecessary in modern times.

However, I do not believe the right to bear arms should be taken away through an amendment. I believe this only because I realistically know that there is no way for the government to seize every person’s gun, some people, most probably the most evil, will find a way to evade the legislation.

What is your opinion?

Wow, svs I am not implying that the forefathers weren’t wise men. I am simply saying that conditions were far different during their time, different to an unimaginable extent, and some of their rulings no longer make sense in today’s world.
Do all of you truly believe that the American people can defend themselves against the government with their measly guns?
Cassie, it is far more difficult to stab people than kill them with guns. Without guns violence would drastically decrease, partially because guns allow for the luxury of distanced security, knives do not.
For those who did not read my full explanation, I am not in favor of taking away the right to bear arms because I understand that gun ownership is currently widespread. However, we would not have the same problems in respect to violence if Americans were never allowed to own guns in the first place. I just wanted to clarify that.
Fizzy, you bring up valid points that the people on this board do not seem to respect because they are too intrigued by their guns.
Guns are not the source of violence. I completely agree with that statement. Also, truly, “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” However access to a gun makes the action all the more simple and attainable.

I am looking for a good AEG that is accurate and has at least 350 fps. Im not looking for one of those spray and pray guns but rather one of those semi auto head shot guns.

I also need a good reliable gun that wont break ad is not too heavy. Im one of those people that like to stay stealthy and go through the bushes so a good long range distance would be great.

Got any gun models/web sites where I can get these?
